I went to visit family in Chicago for the first time five years ago and I
fell in love. Especially if you go see in day and night, it looks like two
different places it is amazing.
Chicago really is the greatest city on earth! And Chicago really has two
downtown’s. The section south of the main branch of the river where the
famous Loop is which holds the Financial and theater districts, Shopping
theaters and cultural places on State Street including the State Street
Macy’s store, Jewelers Row, All the Metra Terminals that surround it over
and under the city. All the CTA El trains and Subway lines converge there
plus Millennium Park and the Museum Campus, Northerly Island and Soldier
Field. Plus many of the world tallest towers and underground roadways. The
River walk and outdoor art sculptures. And LaSalle Street known as the
canyon in the Finance District exchanges more money than any place in the
world including Wall street.
Then the section north of the River’s main branch has Michigan Avenue
(Magnificent Mile) worlds best shopping street plus Oak Street VERY
exclusive shopping. The night life of Rush and Division Streets, River
North Art District and Furniture districts, Restaurant Row and the Gold
Coast plus more super tall towers every where. And Navy Pier! Plus more
beautiful beaches and lakefronts on both parts of Downtown . Plus cool draw
bridges all over.
Take a great boat tour on the river/lake or one of the cool bus tours. Go
to Navy Pier or Millennium Park or to the observatory at either the Willis
or Hancock towers. Go to one of the many world class museums or theaters
or to Lincoln Park Zoo. Shop on the Magnificent Mile “Michigan Avenue”or
Oak Street in the Gold Coast or State Street in the Loop or maybe Jewelers
Row on Wabash in the Loop. Take an El train or Subway ride. Walk the River
walk or along the Lake or hang out at one of the many beaches. Go to an art
gallery in the River North Art District.
Going to Chicago next spring! Hoping to visit the sights and catch a
Blackhawks game. Can’t wait!
Is Chicago a safe city to visit/live? If you have common sense?
I’m from New York and I love it, but it’s just so expensive here. I always
feel like Chicago is a smaller more chill version of new York. Are
apartments or houses much cheaper there? So to anyone living there who’s
from New York, how are things there?
this city reminds me of NYC I love Chicago
If you ever planing on going to Chicago don’t go to the south side because
there is gang activity so don’t go engle wood (South side)
Is there tacos there?
Chicago blows New York out of the water

chicago is the most boring and scariest place ever
Chicago best city ever
I’ll say that this video was a real eye opener for me. Just seeing
the activity that goes on in the Loop and the density of Magnificent Mile
makes me say wow! It really makes me sad that this city is
always overshadowed by New York and L.A. It makes me sad that people just
don’t appreciate this city as much. An underrated city Chicago is. This
city just doesn’t get the attention it really deserves. Chi-Town is a GREAT
city!
Chiraq to englewood bitch
I love Chicago
